FAQ
Good questions, straight answers.
What people most often ask Alex before they buy or sell.
What areas does Alex work in?
Alex works across Toronto, including Yorkville, Humber Valley Village, Don Mills and Liberty Village, and outside the city in Durham Region and New Tecumseth. If you're looking somewhere else in the GTA, ask. He'll tell you honestly whether he's the right fit.
How is a buyer's agent paid?
Ontario rules require a written agreement before an agent works for you as a buyer, and it spells out the services and how the agent is paid. In many purchases the buyer's brokerage is paid from the seller's side of the deal, but every situation is different, so Alex walks you through it before you sign anything.
What happens in a bidding war?
Multiple offers are common in Toronto. Alex reviews recent sales with you, helps you set a limit you're comfortable with, and plans the terms as well as the price. The highest number doesn't always win, and you don't always get a second chance to improve an offer, so the plan matters.
How do you work out what my home is worth?
Alex looks at recent comparable sales nearby, what's on the market now, your home's condition and features, and how buyers are behaving this season. You get a price range with the reasoning behind it, not just a number.
Can you help me buy and sell at the same time?
Yes. Timing a sale and a purchase is one of the most stressful parts of moving. Alex plans both sides together, including closing dates, questions for your lender about bridge financing, and conditions that protect you.
Do you work with first-time buyers?
Yes. Alex has guided first-time buyers through competitive multiple-offer situations, including a condo win in Don Mills. He explains each step plainly, from mortgage pre-approval to closing day.
Can I ask about any home on the Listings page?
Yes. Every home on the Listings page was listed with Forest Hill Real Estate Inc., Brokerage when the page was last updated. Tap "Ask Alex" or "Book a showing" on any of them and he'll get back to you with details and showing times.
Which brokerage is Alex with?

How long has Alex been in real estate?
