Where Alex works.
From Yorkville to Durham Region: the streets, the homes and what living there is really like.

Toronto core
Yorkville
Toronto's village of galleries, boutiques and restaurants around Bloor Street and Avenue Road. Restored Victorian row houses sit beside some of the city's most polished condominiums. It's also where Forest Hill's Yorkville office sits, on Hazelton Avenue.

Etobicoke, Toronto
Humber Valley Village
Winding, tree-lined streets near the Humber River, with large detached homes in Tudor, Georgian and modern styles. Families come for the green space and the quiet, with the Kingsway's shops and the subway close by.

North York, Toronto
Don Mills
Canada's first large planned community, laid out in the 1950s around parks, schools and what is now the Shops at Don Mills. Mid-century bungalows and side-splits share the area with newer condos and townhomes.

Toronto core
Liberty Village
Former factories turned brick-and-beam lofts, next to modern condo towers just west of downtown off King Street West. A walkable neighbourhood with cafes, offices, parks and quick access to transit and the Gardiner.

Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa
Durham Region
East of Toronto along Lake Ontario, where buyers often get more space for their money. Established neighbourhoods and newer subdivisions, with GO Transit and Highway 401 for the commute.

Simcoe County
New Tecumseth
The communities of Alliston, Beeton and Tottenham, about an hour north of Toronto. Small-town main streets, newer family subdivisions and country properties surrounded by farmland.
